John Cress, Lead Pastor
Pastor John began his ministry in 1981 in East Wenatchee, Washington after graduating with his MDiv from Andrews University . While in Washington he pastored a two-church district including the Valley View church in East Wenatchee and the Lake Chelan churches. 1986 took Pastor John and his family to Tracy, California and 1991 found the Cress family in Placerville, California where the church grew from 300 members to 800 and the school expanded from 9-grades to 12l. Since 2001 the Cress' have been at LifeSource providing strong leadership and vision including renovating the sanctuary building and properties. Pastor John's passion is to lead people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
From 2001 to 2005, Pastor Karen Cress was the associate at LifeSource overseeing worship and nurture. In 2005 she moved to the Rocky Mountain Conference office where she is now the Vice President for Leadership Development and Communication.
Pastors John and Karen Cress are the proud parents of two outstanding children: Tim who is now working with LifeSource as the site pastor for the Downtown campus; and Jennifer who is studying for her Master's in Vocal Performance at the University of Denver.
