Urban Peak helps young people overcome homelessness and other challenges by providing a variety of services in a safe and supportive environment.
 
  • When You Go: LifeSource sends teams of people to Urban Peak’s shelter 3-4 times each month who plan, purchase and prepare dinner for 30-50 young people.
 
 
Project C.U.R.E. is the largest collector, sorter, and distributor of unused medical supplies in the world.  These supplies are distributed to various developing countries throughout the world. 
  • When You Go: Once a month a team gathers at the warehouse of Project CURE’s world headquarters to sort various medical supplies that have been contributed.
 
 
ACS/L.I.F.T. provides family, disaster, and medical services to the community through its variety of services.
 
  • When You Go: ACS/LIFT volunteers provide a number of different services in support of the programs that it offers to the community.  The staff will provide you with appropriate training and volunteer assignment(s).
 
 
Excelsior is the largest residential treatment center for young ladies west of the Mississippi River.  It provides services designed to help these young ladies become productive members of society.
  • When You Go: Excelsior’s staff requires that you attend an intensive educational training program prior to having direct contact with the young ladies.  Once you’ve completed this orientation, you will interact with a group of young ladies housed in the cottages through agreed upon activities such as art projects, baking, games, movies, etc.
 
 
Ridge View/Rite of Passage is a detention center for teenage boys that provides accountability for behavioral change in a safe, structured environment.
 
  • When You Go: On the first Sunday of each month a group from LifeSource provides worship music, preaching and other activities for a morning worship service for the young men at Ridge View.
 
 
The Healing Place is a ministry in downtown Denver that provides a variety of programs to those who reside downtown, including the homeless.
 
  • When You Go: You will have the opportunity during Saturday evening programming to interact with people by playing games, talking with them, and utilizing any recovery program skills which you may have.
 
 
9Health Fair is Colorado’s largest non-profit, volunteer-driven health fair program.  Its mission is to promote health awareness and encourage individuals to assume responsibility for their own health.
  • When You Go: You can volunteer for this five-hour program that occurs on a Sunday in mid-April as either a medical or non-medical volunteer.  You will be provided with some basic training that will enable you to work with the 400+ health fair participants.
 
 
Holbrook Indian School is a Seventh-day Adventist boarding school for Native Americans in grades 1-12 located in Holbrook, Arizona providing Christ-centered education.
  • When You Go: LifeSource sends a group of people to Holbrook to provide for some of the basic maintenance and repair needs of the school such as landscaping, painting, building repairs, etc.
 
 
Rebuilding Together is a national organization that provides home remodeling and repair services to low-income households so that these individuals and families can have safe, comfortable housing.
  • When You Go: You will participate in a variety of remodeling, repair, and landscaping projects designed to insure that the homeowners have a safe place to live.
 
 
Urban Plunge is a week-long summer adventure for Junior High-age students to introduce them to ministry in an urban setting.
 
  • When You Go: Students will be supervised by a staff of adults in an experience of serving and ministering to the needs of people living downtown.  Students will stay during the week at a church facility downtown which will serve as the headquarters for their ministry to the homeless and hurting of our city.
